CPHI Udayana University and 1000 Days Fund Explore Collaboration to Strengthen Community-Based Primary Care for Stunting Prevention
Denpasar – The Center for Public Health Innovation (CPHI), Udayana University, together with 1000 Days Fund, held a meeting on 20 August 2026 to discuss a potential collaboration on the development of a project focused on Strengthening Community-Based Primary Care for Stunting Prevention.
The meeting marked an initial step for both parties to explore strategic collaboration by bringing together their respective experience, capacity, and expertise in public health program development. The discussion focused on designing a program that is evidence-based, impactful, and has the potential to be sustainable in supporting stunting prevention efforts in Indonesia.
Strengthening community-based primary care was one of the main areas discussed during the meeting. This approach is expected to strengthen the connection between primary healthcare services and communities, allowing stunting prevention efforts to respond more closely to the needs of children and families.
In addition to discussing the overall direction and concept of the program, CPHI Udayana University and 1000 Days Fund also explored the development of a project proposal targeted for support from an international donor. This process included aligning ideas and identifying the potential contributions and roles of each organization within the proposed collaboration.
The meeting also provided a space to build a shared vision for developing a program that is not only focused on implementing activities, but also capable of generating meaningful and sustainable impact. An evidence-based approach will serve as an important foundation to ensure that the proposed program responds to community needs while contributing to the strengthening of primary healthcare services.
Through this exploratory collaboration, CPHI Udayana University and 1000 Days Fund hope to develop a project that contributes to stunting prevention efforts and delivers tangible benefits for children, families, and communities across Indonesia. This collaboration is also aligned with CPHI Udayana University’s commitment to expanding strategic partnerships and translating public health research and innovation into programs with real-world impact.
The meeting on 20 August 2026 is expected to mark the beginning of a stronger partnership between CPHI Udayana University and 1000 Days Fund in advancing community-based primary care that is increasingly responsive to community needs, particularly in supporting stunting prevention in Indonesia.
