Prof. Pande Putu Januraga Presents Indonesian HIV Research at the International Workshop on Adolescence, SRHR & HIV 2026 in Bangkok

Bangkok – Prof. dr. Pande Putu Januraga, M.Kes., DrPH, Chair of the Center for Public Health Innovation (CPHI), Udayana University, participated as an oral presenter at the 10th International Workshop on Adolescence, SRHR & HIV 2026, held on 21–23 September 2026 at the Mandarin Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Prof. Pande was officially invited to attend the international forum as a representative of the Center for Public Health Innovation, Udayana University. 

At the workshop, Prof. Pande delivered an oral presentation entitled “Healthcare Avoidance and HIV Prevention Cascade Failure among Young Men Who Have Sex with Men and Transgender Women in Indonesia: A National IBBS 2023 Analysis.” The presentation brought evidence from Indonesia into the international discussion on healthcare access and HIV prevention, particularly among young men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender women.

The International Workshop on Adolescence, SRHR & HIV is an inclusive forum that brings together multidisciplinary experts working with and for adolescents affected by HIV. The workshop aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and best practices to identify pathways toward more comprehensive health services and improved health and well-being for adolescents at risk of acquiring HIV and those living with HIV worldwide. 

The 2026 edition also marks an important milestone for the workshop. After being successfully held on the African continent for the previous nine years, 2026 marks the first time the workshop has been hosted in Asia, reflecting its continued global expansion and bringing discussions on adolescent health, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and HIV to regions with diverse contexts and epidemiological challenges. 

Prof. Pande’s participation as an oral presenter provided an opportunity to share research evidence and experiences from Indonesia within a global forum, while contributing to international knowledge exchange on challenges related to healthcare access and the HIV prevention cascade among young populations.

Through participation in international scientific forums such as this, CPHI Udayana University continues to promote research dissemination, knowledge exchange, and stronger global networks to support the development of increasingly evidence-based HIV responses and health services.
